Time flies..

AS is finally completed, and the number of familiar faces I've always noticed around (my tiny, tiny) college campus slowly diminishes. Guess that's what you get for being in a college of only Pre-U programs of 1 to 2 years! I'll miss loads of them. Also wished that I got to know them better..
Nevermind, as long as those sweet memories remain.
Soon, everyone will be heading to university and going for their dreams;
Me? No different. Except it seems to me that everyone has such a clear-cut future paved out, and I am still uncertain.
Uncertain of what the future holds. Uncertain of what to pursue for tertiary education. Uncertain of ... myself.
And. At this point of life, everyone asks the same question.
" What are you going to study ah?" " Where ah?"
" I'm not too sure.."
Le sigh.

On a lighter note,
I'm turning 18 in 3 days! OMG!
( p.s : Paypal and bank acc. will finally allow fund transfers. All hell will break loose upon activation... ASOS.COM, here comes I! )

Oh well, it's gonna be real hectic from now onwards till the end of college as there's only something like 9 weeks to complete the entire A2 syllabus. Gasp.

Oh! And my class got some new classmates, they seem quite friendly. Hmm. :)

Sorry for my long absence in the blogosphere. I've not been free for ages.
..And when there's the time to relax, I don't feel like blogging. Or at least, I "blog" on Tumblr. Hehe.

"Something like that" she replied.

Then, we went there.
OH YES IT IS. 5 MINUTES FROM COLLEGE.

Happiness is produced, not found. Do you agree?

Let's use the chocolate chip cookie aroma as a metaphor to explain happiness. Why? Well, because it is difficult to define happiness which is ever so elusive and it is not easy to bake good cookies. I love to bake good chocolate chip cookies with walnut toppings and to eat them when they are still warm. Yummy!

Part of the whole chocolate chip cookie experience is the wonderful cooking cookie aroma that fills the house when they are baking. It is such a delicious, warm, and comforting aroma, isn’t it? The aroma is not only marvelous in itself but it is also the signal that warm, chewy cookies are soon to be placed on the cooling rack and, almost immediately, into my mouth. The aroma is wonderful and it communicates something else wonderful that is soon to come…cookies!

From where, or what, precisely, does the fantastic cooking cookie aroma come? “Well,” you might say, “it comes from the cooking cookies, of course.” Yes, that’s right but think more specifically.

Think about each ingredient in the cookie dough before baking. Does the flour have that aroma? No, on its own flour doesn’t smell like much. How about the butter—does it smell like warm cookies? No, not much aroma there, either. The baking soda, eggs and the pinch of salt or walnuts don’t have scents. The chocolate chips have a mild chocolate aroma but it isn’t that delicious cooking aroma, is it?

“The aroma,” you say, “must come from the baking process, right?” Well, that depends. Baking cookies at different temperatures for different time periods produce different results.

The bottom line is that cooking without careful attention to both the length of time and the temperature is not enough to produce the delicious aroma. Only the right ingredients mixed together in the right amounts, formed into the right sizes, and cooked for both the right time and the right temperature will produce the aroma.

All these factors work together to make delicious smells and delicious cookies—no one factor can do it. The invisible aroma comes, then, as a byproduct of doing each important thing in the cookie making process and allowing these things to work together.

Lasting happiness is very much like the aroma produced by following the correct steps in making cookies. Happiness, like the aroma, cannot be seen, grasped, or even directly produced.

As with the warm cookie smell, happiness arises as an indirect byproduct of doing important things well. “Looking” for happiness and “hoping” you will somehow “find” it is like spending your life sniffing around in search of cookie aroma—it is really a waste of your time and energy. You can produce, however, both delicious sensations as the indirect results of your actions and behaviors.

In the case of cookies, the actions are measuring and mixing the ingredients and correctly cooking the dough. In the case of happiness, the actions are taking specific, real steps to achieve goals that are meaningful to you.

The fact is, if you want either warm cookie aroma or a warm awareness of happiness, you are going to have to take the steps that make them. Truth is: happiness is produced, not found.

Happiness is like a sort of aroma—an invisible and pleasant awareness produced (as suggested earlier) when we move forward in achieving goals that are important to us and in generally living the kind of life of which we are proud - moral happiness.

It is a stable sense of well-being and satisfaction produced by keeping your promises to yourself and others and by acting with integrity and honesty when it might have been easier and more self-serving to act in opposite ways..

This deep sense of peace and contentment, of overall life satisfaction, is what many, many people today say they lack. These folks may be “happy” when someone remembers their birthday and gives them their favorite cake and they may be “happy” with the way their new living room wallpaper looks.

But if you ask them, “overall, are you happy?” they will immediately go to the place inside themselves where moral happiness resides and, upon reflection, tell you “no, not really.”

People want to feel the very appropriate and necessary feelings of emotional happiness to be satisfied with things or situations in our lives. All of that is perfectly reasonable.

But beyond these types of “happiness” we want to feel that our life and what we do in it matters, is important (even if just to ourselves and maybe one or two other people), and that we are satisfied with it. This is the kind of happiness people hope, in vain, to “find.” As we have seen, though, it cannot be “found” because it does not exist until you perform the acts that produce it.

This lasting kind of happiness is what many hope money will buy them and yet, it cannot. This deep and powerful feeling of living a meaningful life is what people yearn for and the wise among them learn that, to produce it, yearning alone is insufficient.
The reality is that the deep happiness you want and need cannot be found or purchased with any of the available “currencies” but is a byproduct of achieving things that express your sense of meaning and purpose on this planet.

Remember, happiness, at least moral happiness, arises like an aromatic byproduct as you achieve the goals that drive you toward achieving your mission (your meaning and the reason you are here—your purpose). Define your mission in words because it makes the difference between a life that is well lived and one that just goes from day to day without much direction or deep happiness.

This happiness that comes from living out your mission can be yours as well. Firstly, give up the idea that you can find it, pursue it, or obtain it. Secondly, don’t confuse this deep form of moral happiness with the emotion or evaluation types of happiness. Thirdly, this happiness resonates in your life as you discern what you are about, what you want your life to be about and then actively set about doing it. As you continually express your mission in activity, you will notice the presence of happiness arise like an invisible, intangible, yet marvelously delicious aroma. As you do you may find yourself silently nodding and acknowledging quietly to yourself that happiness is produced, not found. To me, the best happiness is the one that comes from God and from ourselves - it is one feeling that money cannot buy!

I saw this tutorial and would want to share it with you guys! Such an amazing idea. Would you make one? I would! :)

You’ll need a curb link bracelet, embroidery thread, two bobby pins and a pair of scissors.

Cut 2 sets of 15 strands of embroidery thread, with each strand measuring four times the length of the bracelet. Knot the all the threads at the top, leaving about 2 inches of slack. Sandwich each set between a bobby pin – this will help you easily weave the threads through the links of the bracelet. Lay the threads to the left of the bracelet. Pull the first color (coral) from under the first link and over the top of the left side. (Click images to enlarge)

Lay the second color (blue) over the first color (coral). Pull the second color (blue) from under the same link and over the top left again. Repeat the steps, moving onto a new link: put the first color (coral) on top of the second color (blue) and pull it out from under the 2nd link and over the top left. Lay the second color (blue) on top of the first color (peach) and pull it out from under the 2nd link and over the top left again. Because the links of this particular bracelet are large, I wove the threads through twice on each link.

Repeat the steps until you reach the end of the bracelet. Finish it with a knot and trim the ends.

DIY Inspiration! Will totally try this out during the term breaks. :)

So.
I'm now at my college, using the computers here.
Blogging.
There's a UK education fair outside and it's buzzing with people. Noise.
That's why I'm here instead of (attempt) studying.

I feel kind of guilty now, because some customer's orders were delayed..
They needed to get the accessories early, as birthday presents. But I did clearly say that the waiting time is between 3-5 weeks. It usually arrives within 3.5 weeks. Usually.
But this time, it didn't. :(( OMG. Because of that, I'd probably have to compensate with something. Not that I'd mind actually, just that I don't want to leave a bad impression!

Hmm. Okay, since I have time now, I'd just elaborate on why I decided to open a blogshop.

1. Creative Output
- It combines what I enjoy doing; all rolled in one - Writing, Graphics, Marketing, Photography, Advertising, PR.

2. Prove to parents
- That I can handle a business completely by myself. To be quite frank, my parents were actually against the idea of me having my blogshop. They were afraid it would be too time consuming/mind-hogging. They thought I would ditch my studies/become a college dropout because they thought I would be immature and decide I would like to continue and do this in my future. Please; It's far from that. What they didn't know, is that; by opening this blogshop, I've opened my eyes to the world of business (albeit just online). I've learnt so much dealing with various sorts of people; be it demanding customers or unreliable suppliers. It really, REALLY isn't as easy as it first seemed. Am proud to say this blogshop is wholly created and sustained by my own hard work and ideas. Well, my parents helped with the transport(sending me to the bank/pos office). Pior to this, I've had no experience whatsoever in posting things and handling bank transactions. I guess they helped, in that way. :)

3. Money
- Well, this is a business, right? :p

4. For my CV
- Made a brand of my own at 17! *syioks sendiri*

5. A fulfilled wish
- Ever since young, I've always been kind of bothered that no one could spell/remember my name. Shall elaborate why in a different post. Bottomline is that, it helps when I could wear a name necklace! :) Been wanting to get one ever since I was a preteen, ... saw my friend wearing one. It was from PohKong. It was made of pure gold, so obviously it would be far more expensive. I think roughly above RM800. I wanted to find a place that produced name necklaces, but at a much more affordable price. Not only for me, but for others who would like it as well! Before I started the blogshop, I did my research and tried locating suppliers everywhere. I found some suppliers for the usual clothes/bags, but there are just WAY too many blogshops now selling the same stuff. They get it from the same supplier, of course. I wanted my blogshop to be different I guess. But I think selling clothes/bags would be far easier because stock would be at hand. There would be no need to make previews/designs, rush suppliers etc. It is also far easier to sell as it is more affordable. But then, one would need the start up money too... and there's a much much larger competition out there! I'm going kinda off topic but, whatever. At least I finally opened it on the 2nd day of CNY (Overheard people saying it was a great day for business, LOL!), my blogshop was finally created! Oh lovee.

Haha.
I suppose I'm done with my rant. Off to break!

College mates. :)

I thought this blog would be very much revived in 2011.
But, nawh.
Everyday's been really hectic.. it's so hard to come home without feeling like a total zombie.
Guess they were right about A-levels being really fast paced!

It's kinda overwhelming that so many things have happened this year. And it's just the beginning! Oh myyy. And just today, I've decided to drop Physics.
Well. Actually I've never intended to take it for A-levels....Just looking at the Physics syllabus kinda scares me. It just happened that my mum convinced me to try it out first, and so did the counselors at TCSH.
My wake-up call (to drop it) came in the form of a impromptu Pop Quiz. All the guys finished the paper asap whereas I was still trying to digest the questions. Kinematics; Y U DO THIS TO ME?! ;\

Okay, so anyways..
Haven't been doing much lately besides college & handling my business. Occasional outings are planned, but not that many as the hols! :'o

Goin' Old School Photo Exhibition PERHIMPUNAN

I can't believe it.
In the year 2006, I took my first step into SMK BUD(4) all naive and scared for my first day of class. Not alone, most of my peers similarly shared the same pained expression on their faces.
We were simply all so young and innocent!

Now that high school is over, there's a sudden unexpected impact of muddled feelings;
who can tell what the future holds..?

Actually, that same feeling of being a Freshie struck on Orientation Day in my college.
I only knew of <5 people going for CAL at TCSH. "Everyone else" were either heading to HELP, Taylor's Subang or Sunway UC.

Anyways, I've gone a lil' off topic there. The seniors had a lovely initiative to set up this exhibition. It was a total walk down memory lane. :)

As weird as it sounds, I actually missed my Canteen food, haha!
Here is the Tomyam Yeemee which I've been eating every Friday for recess.
SO SCRUMMY. :)

Had a great time visiting the teachers as well with my awesome buds.

I've just watched all 3 seasons of Nodame Cantabile.
Why does it have to end? :'(
I love that show!
It's so touching and it makes me love classical music. No wonder there's so many classical music enthusiasts in Japan.

Anyways this holiday haven't been MAX productive, but it's okay.
Well, there's the usual going-out-with-friends, watching movies, shopping, piano, etc.
I'm busy planning my online shop.. and I still need to write a Business proposal to my dad. But I'm feeling lazy.

I've received those clothes samples from the supplier and they're pretty good and HQ. I've even seen some of those going for higher prices compared to Sg.Wang and Times Square.
Heh. Now I'm going to end up buying more for myself than for customers! Eeep.

Not going anywhere for holiday this year. Ah wells. Bumming around at home is rather relaxing too! Managed to catch up on fashion updates and my favorite shows... online.

I'm home alone half the day during weekdays now because my brother is off at the Permata Seni camp with my mum. And my dad's working.

Chronicles of SPM

I'm caught in a tangle of mixed feelings now.
Happy because SPM is over- finito. But sad, because high school is over!
Anyways, I don't think I'll be posting up any recent pictures of myself because I look disastrous.
:)

Anyways! I would like to share with my dear readers ( which I have long abandoned ) this lil' hobble of life.. SPM! This is what happened before, during and after it. :)

So, I start off each morning with a walk towards the wooden benches here with Lin Nette, Sheyon & Wei Li and do some last minute *quick-flash-reassurance* revision. And I only realized that SPM day counter AFTER the exam. -.-

As the clock approaches 7.50am (Earliest paper starts at 8am), we make our way towards the exam hall with a short walk pass the school greenery;

Ah, this stop sign. I don't quite get why they need to put it up because there's no one in the school besides the form 5s and the invigilators. Maybe it's to wake us up.

Then, at 7.50 am, we enter the class where students are seated in 5x4 position.
There's usually 20 students in each class. Then, we listen to the same instructions for 5 full minutes on the rules ( No cheating, no talking ... the usual. )
The invigilators in my particular class were really strict about the timing. The exam only starts EXACTLY on time, on the second.

Then, when you're doing the paper, they look through everyone's SPM slip and check the ICs.
While doing the paper itself, you'll notice a similiar smell on all the papers. Is it the smell of moth balls?
And the SPM papers are really sharp and new. I have gotten 2 paper cuts throughout the exam!

And once the exam is over, usually people rush to slip through notes on the next paper, or everyone chills. ( ONLY for English haha. )
Then, we go to the same room and the same process goes for all the papers.

Except for the Literature in English paper. Only 3 students took it, Nabs, Abi & I.
We were shifted to the first room and there was 3 invigilators in the room.
We were spaces out really far apart lol! The arrangement was like :
Abi-----(Empty seat) -----Nabs----(Empty seat)-----Me

Haha!
So we write and write and write until we can no longer feel our fingers/hand.
We used up 16 pages each lol! That's one entire exam answer booklet and 2 extra sheets.
The invigilators stopped us on the clock too. I wish I had just ONE extra minute to give a complete conclusion to one of my essays. Awh.

After the exam, we went to return our text books to the SPBT. I lost the 3 books so I had to pay rm30. :'( And it was also for the Konserto Terakhir novel which isn't even going to be used in the new syllabus....

After the movie, I went and cleared my uber messy table and chairs ( and boxes and shelves and ..floor! )

The clutter of revisions. :|

Oh, and of course, there's always a last minute rush of *OMG SOALAN BOCOR SOALAN BOCOR* ( Leaked exam questions )
But no. NEVER BELIEVE in those *tips* and last minute bocor SMSes.
They are never true for the real deal. They have multiple other sets of the exams.
If one paper really were to leak, they will just change it. Just like that.

I think the more accurate predictions are usually the trial papers.

One sided lah. Well. I have more rough paper..

Haha!! As every exam finishes, I would stack up all the books into this nice little corner in my room. It's amusing to see it go higher, and higher and higher everyday!
But it did topple 3 times. It was supremely troublesome to stack it again so I just stuffed part of the books into a huge box, a few bags and some file holders.

I think I could totally earn a fortune from just recycling these stuff.
But nay, it's going on to the next SPM sitter. :)

So about a month ago,
there was this online promotion for FreshLook Illuminate contact lenses.

All you need to do was to submit a form of your details on this web , and they will send 3 pairs of the daily disposable lenses to your very doorstep!

Honestly, I've never, ever worn contact lenses before.
It's not because I don't want to, but rather, my PARENTS don't want me to.

They'll rant on and on about infections/my carelessness blablabla.

ANYWAYS! Since these were free, it was the only chance I've got, to get contacts.

After begging my dad for the ka-trillionth time, he finally resent to my little plea. :)
I was allowed to wear 'em for the Edboard photoshoot.

Since Charis & I were first timers, we both decided to put 'em on together. haha!

69% water. That's a really high content!

The verdict:
( I might not be accurate because it is my first time wearing contacts lol. )

- It was kinda hard to put on because it was so slippery and soft.
- Charis broke hers while gripping it. :\ It's kinda thin & fragile.
- It was super comfortable tho. I wore it on for >7 hours when apparently first timers should only go for 5 hours.
- I felt like I could see everything clearly without wearing a piece of metal gunk on my face.
- My eyes looked bigger! It looks natural I guess. Most peeps didn't notice the
"illuminating effect".
But if you look closely under flash/bright sunlight, you could see a purplish-black limbal ring around my eye. It's obvious then, because I have super dark pupils.
- My cousin said I looked like I have anime eyes. ._. lulwut.

I liked it! :)
Would definitely repurchase if I'm allowed to; and if my budget agrees.
Because 10 pairs costs rm70,
.. 30 pairs would cost rm 210.
But they're currently having a promotion of 30 pairs for rm180.
So its +- rm7 per pair. ( per day)
That's kinda expensive. I suppose it'll be good for special occasions.

It's been absolute AGES since I've updated this blog. ;\

It's already mid June. Gasp!

Anyways here's a little update of random things that's been going on.

This annoying kid here got a scholarship to Sri Cempaka International in Cheras.
AND I'm very proud of him. Aww :')

Since I'm his awesomest sister evah, he must learn Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate for me.

Went for the Taylor's CLIOD the ( College life in one day ) event
@ Taylors Sri Hartamas for IB Programme.

... and Gah! I shouldn't have worn my new grey acid washed studded jeans today.
It was uncomfortable and I looked lala. -.-

It was really an Eye-opener for me, as I'm trying to decide between taking it or Cambridge A-Levels as pre-U courses. We could only choose one programme to go to, so I put IB as the first choice.

So why IB, actually?

Disclaimer : The following is what I've learnt & found out from the lecturers & IB students..

In my own words,

Well apparently it's more of a all-round pre-U course that places importance in ALL aspects.
Yes, ALL. Everything that builds character and basically morphs us into better human beings.

Marks are given based mostly on course works, assignments and team projects. And basically we have to write a general report on all of these as well as reflections and stuff.

And... IB students have to be critical and analytical and mustn't be bounded by stereotypes and stuff we take for granted. They have to find our own objections and seek debates, but yet at the same time accept other people's views and opinions.

Plus points:

+ IB students are highly sought after by top universities and recognized by many, many countries including USA, Australia, UK, Canada, Switzerland and... IVY LEAGUE unis (omg)!

+ They are also sought after by various international companies of the world.

+ IB (2 year) is longer than A-levels (1.5 year) so if you've scored good marks, you may be exempted from a few early years of the course you wish to study in university.

+ It's good for those uncertain of their careers, as you can take science, art & humanities subjects up to you.

+ Mostly practical work. Less memorizing load.

+ It builts up character, and everyone that comes out ends up more confident, street smart & globally intellectual.

+ You can take up theater and physics or chemistry and music. Choose your own variety. :)

Cons :

- Course work & projects are tedious because it needs to be accurate & concise.
- Hard to find in colleges because it is uncommon in Malaysia ( Exam orientated!)
- Have to write a reflection for EVERYTHING! ( Kind of like those P.Moral kerja kursus. ._. )
- LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of writing.
- Expensive!

Oh well.
It was a good day..

.Was surprised to see Audrey, my English lit classmate, there! :)
There wasn't many people
( only 18, compared to A-levels, which had a whopping number of 70 ) because IB isn't common in M'sia.

Met new peeps from various schools.
Hellow Wai Phun, Min & Kevin!

haha.
Basically those are the new peeps Nabs & I spent most our time with. :)

Since the group was so small, they actually split us to groups of about 6 to have lunch with a members of the student council. haha

We had lunch in the restaurants in Hartamas Shopping Centre ( which is connected to the college). I can't believe there isn't any canteen there. They have vending machines at almost every corner though..

My group ate at some Japanese place. It was okay.
But a tad awkward as everyone was kinda quiet. ._.

And IB is expensive.
An IB student told me it's rm60,000+ sans cost of test & text books.
Gasp.

But I guess if you do well, you could get a high chance of landing yourself into a prestigious university and get a scholarship!
( Which is what most of them did. )

haha.
Ah wells. I don't know how much are the other unis charging for IB, but I do know Taylor's are a tad more pricier than the other colleges.

From research, I've found out these other colleges in Malaysia that offers Pre-u Programme: International Baccalaureate (IB) :

* International School of Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur ( Probably most $$$ )
* The International School, Penang - Uplands, Penang ( It's in Penang... :\ )
* Global Indian International School, Kuala Lumpur
* Mara College Banting, Selangor (MARA CANNOT GET IN, CONFIRMED. ._. )
* Mont' Kiara International School, Kuala Lumpur ( MOST $$$ REQUIRED )
* Sri KDU Smart School, Selangor (To consider? )

Actually the best place to go is probably MARA because they have been offering that program for the longest time!
Probably much more experienced..
BUT! It's impossible to get in. 'Nuff said.

& Taylor's JUST offered it this year.
._. hmm.

Oh well. Something to consider. Hope you've been enlightened!

Water Rocket Competition

HAHAHAHHAHA.
Oh gosh I loved that day. :')

It was Maths & Science Week.
The school held many Science-related competitions like : Quizzes, Solar Car racing comp
..and stuff.

One of which, was the Water Rocket competition.

Ok, So here's what happened.

The day before the comp ;
Tuesday,
my physics teacher, Pn.Leow was demonstrating how a water rocket works. Just using an ordinary coke bottle, filled with 1/3 water, pumped with a bicycle pump till the pressure builts up and it flies.

No fancy fins, gizmos or anything. Pure physics.
It shot up in the air!

Nabs & I were gobsmacked, flabbergasted, absolutely bimboozled.

It was that very moment we decided to join the competition.

I know it's at the very last minute, but that's exactly how we roll.
The night before, we had our own tuitions and etc so we didn't start building the water rocket.
But I did buy 2 carbonated drink bottles. 7up & Pepsi.
Afiq helped us buy cardboard for the fins.

Did some last minute research.

We decided to assemble everything the day of the competition.
Note : Others had a whole week to create it.!!

The thing is, the competition starts at the 2nd period, leaving us only less than 30 minutes to finish the whole thing. So we used up every minute we could. While assembly was being held, Nabs was cutting the bottles and I was snipping the fins.
I just wished the bottles didn't squeak as much as we cut it, as we got a whole lotta stares. -.-

It was simple really. The design and everything.
It looks like any other last-minute-put-together water rocket.

Eg.

THANKFULLY, my Moral teacher didn't come, so me and Nabs frantically assembled the whole thing in that limited time.

It really is just a doodle board.

1. Black-Colourbase one retails at 3 for rm 10.
2. Black- Assorted ( White, Silver, Gold, Colour etc base. ) 5 for rm 13 or something around that figure.

There's a little wooden scratchier.
The 2. gives it with an additional fan brush, to dust off the scratchings.

It's WAY brighter than how it looks here.

Soon after, around 11.50pm,
We ( C, N & I ) took a midnight stroll down to the nearby Mamak to eat supper.

We were like totally ravenous man.
Was tempted to eat the paper mache srsly.

Out of the entire Petaling Jaya district,
there was 16 students who scored straigh A+ for SPM.

My school has 8 straight A+ students !

And there are 80+ students who got straight A's.
Talk about making SMK BUD(4) proud ! (:

BUT..
Class of 09' set a really high standard for this year's SPM takers.

Therefore,
I really need to nerd out.

CNY 2010 Overall

Didn't do much.

Just the usual CNY celebration.
Like always, we have the reunion dinner a day before CNY;
Traditionally with the father's side of the family.

My elder cousin YS got his driving licence a day before...
So the whole Leong family looked shackled. ;O
And they came late heh heh.

Uncle CE is in the country Down Under,

Went to visit the same relatives from my dad's side.

CNY DAY 2

Had to endure the 2 hour + ride from KL to Ipoh to visit the relatives of my mum's side.

After travelling from San Jose to Los Angeles in USA,
I no longer feel that the Ipoh ride is long.

Actually, it's good. At least the traffic was moving.

During that ride in US, we had to go through a LONG ride to L.A, and when we actually reached there, the traffic was ridiculous.
It was SO BAD ;
KL traffic seems to be like, some sorta blessing .

What I ate for breakfast ! (:
( It's a Raspberry Torte from Just Heavenly, Bangsar Gourmet btw. )

Anyways, at my grandparents ( Mum's side ) house.

My grandma is a devout Taoist so there's this altar in the house.
Incense sticks & the dust in the house = Dusty air
Upon entering the house, the air was so dense we could cut it with a butter knife.

My dad & I has extremely sensitive eyes, so we put on eye drops.
ZOMG I had never had such a stingy eyedrop on me, ever.
:((((

I was happy to see my grandparents tho ! (:

& Luckily it was near lunch then,
my uncle Eddie whipped up a FEAST!

YESSSS.
A full fledged, guranteed-to-make-you-burst, over 8 courses, fit-for-a-king,
MAJ-OOORRR FEAST.

He want us get fatz or something. ._.

Everything was good.

ESPECIALLY
the Sweet & Sour prawns; Fishmaw, Mushrooms & Abalone; Steamed Chicken; Roast Duck, Roast Pork, Roast beef tongue; Steamed Pomfret; & Abalone soup.

We went to OVERSEA RESTAURANT, which was pretty popular in Ipoh, as well as KL.
The manager told us we had to make a reservation 3 months in advance just to get a table for Reunion Dinner. ! !!

It's popular because the food is wonderful,
It's dining setting is wide and spacious,
It's relatively NEW,
&
it's better than the previous restaurants my family used to go;
yeah,
those that make families stand behind your back to stress you to eat faster so there would get more table covers; thus more customers.

It costed like rm 300 + ? o.O
Braised Sea cucumber, Abalone, & Goosewebs.
These may seem whacky, but they pack a great seafood-ey punch ! :D

Braised pork knuckle with fortune moss, pickles & cabbage.
This was pretty good !
I liked the gravy, and the pickles add a nice texture to this queasy dish.
But I didn't touch the meat itself, since my uncles enjoyed it more. (:

The crowd starts to come in...

Simple fare of assorted mushrooms, tofu, and greens.

The last order - Deep Fried Suckling pig.
I'm not so much of a meat eater so I left it to the guys.
( Again! )

But my MC jiujiu claims the suckling pig @ Elcerdo is better.
Maybe ? haha.

And we did not get to go Indulgencez this trip !

Chinese New Year Celebration @ School

As usual, my school held a CNY celebration the Friday before CNY. (:
Since school finishes at Friday at 12.30pm,
it's pretty much a full day event !
( No classes )

The principal lined up many new different activities for CNY this year.
Id'll have to say that the Lion Dance team is way better than last year's. ( They fell . )

Student spectators.
I think they were playing 24 season drums or something.
Couldn't see ! Sitting too far back. :(

Even the canteen auntie took a break to see what's going on.

Loads of students brought their cameras! Including abi. haha

We then moved a little closer to see the Lion Dance.
After the speeches and all, the sun decided to turn up the heat.

Gosh ! IT WAS BLAZING HOT.
Everyone was shielding their hands away from the sun, so I couldn't really get decent pictures.
They'll either be a hand blocking my view , or a book.

Everyone started to stand up to get a closer look...

Calligraphy paper decorated the assembly area.
All those were either drawn by students, or teachers.

Apparently this team that the school hired, won numerous awards for Best Lion Dance Performance. ! And we get to view it first hand. (:

( Tangerines are called " ngam " in chinese, and signifies prosperity as ngAm means GOLD. )

After the celebration was over, we tend to our booths.

Oh wait, i didnt explain....

We were told to do booths of the various festivals of Malaysia. Right after the CNY celebration; on the same day.

...As a Sivik ( civics ) project.
We dis it in groups of more or less 6.

Then, we had to find out about the respective festival we were assigned to, and make a booth that best describes the festival .

My group did about Deepavali. ( a.k.a Diwali ).
Upon doing research about the festival, we actually manage to understand more clearly about their culture and such. (:

Setting it up.
We aren't ready and there was already a buncha peeps checking the booth out.
I see Kesh & Brandon nomming on the samples !
Now we all know how it DISAPPEARED so fast ...

Firstly, we borrowed a table from the canteen, & decorated the edges with colorful crepe paper.
Then, we placed two brass oil lamp stands on the table; one at each side..
I got the lamp stands from my morning maid, who got it from her friend. Apparently it costed > rm 200 for it , discounted !

And on it, we hung fresh flower garlands,
which Sheyon bought from a temple nearby her place.

But the guys kept commenting the oil lamp stands looks like a sisha pipe.
-.-

The other few mini-oil lamps were also from my morning maid.
We placed them on top of the description sheets to prevent 'em from flying all over the place.
Turns out, we didn't light them.

We had samples of murukku & kuih ros.
Which I personally looves.! And so does a whole lotta peeps.
Cause it's no longer limited to just Deepavali. You can find it being sold during Chinese New Year AND Hari Raya.

Here's a kolam I made.
It looks pathetic, I know.
Our initial plan was to make it outta rice, but it was too tedious, so Nabs bought coloured sand.
The colored sand was spensive.

And only WHILE doing it, i realize the sand is NOT ENOUGH.
So I can't color coordinate it properly !
Someone even told me it looks like a water painting.

Michael's group.
They had the EASIEST festival zomg.
Just throw in a few tangerines, hang some fancy chinese deco
and top it off with a chinese lion's head....
Their set up took less than 5 minutes.

Yeah, their group did Christmas.
The civics teacher was suppose to bring Christmas cookies for them, but she forgotten.
So she's getting full blame for the partial bare-ness of their booth.

It's a traditional form of Indian tattooing.
TEMPORARY tatoo-ing.

It's come off within 2-3days, depending on how long you leave the paste on.

And I LOVE playing & doodling with the henna.
So I did the designs for them ... albeit cacated.

Tomorrow there will be a Chinese New Year celebration in school !
Weirdly, our civics teacher asked us to set up booths of the various multi-cultural festivals of Malaysia.. CNY is one of them. There'll be Hari Raya, Christmas, Deepavali, & CNY.

The group i'm in is in charge of Deepavali a.k.a Diwali.

Okay, jokes aside. My school's field's drainage system is kinda messed up.
Being in Malaysia, it rains like at least twice a week. And during the monsoon season, it rains almost everyday.
The drainage pipe is clogged and the field is bumpy !
The field is always wet too.

Anyways.

We had Saturday replacement school yesterday because Chinese New Year is coming up.
Being a Saturday,
... there's this unwritten rule that everyone comes in ... more slacko-ey.

We were suppose to have a gotong-royong ( Big Clean Up ) for the school because there was suppose to be a PIBG meeting later the day.
After cleaning the class, we decided to snap a few scenery shots at my school. (:

Why I like it longer

Everyone wants things longerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Be it your favourite food, awesome gadgets, items, clothing, fashion & beauty trend, time spent with your family & friends ;
and especially hobby time.

And no doubt, A LOT of people would do literally anything to elongate their life .

Basically I want everything longer. Wouldn't you ?

These are just a few very heavily narrowed down from the Stuff i want longer, from my incredibly long list.

First off, is FOOD.

And with furthermost obviousness...
Because , YOU KNOW YOU WANT THIS. *Points below*

1. Hotdog

YES'!
it's a fantastic, drool-worthy, worth-calorie-sacrificing, scrummy, yummy, mouth-watering, JUICY, long polish hot dog,
that I had at my uncle & auntie's place in U.S.A.

Although this hotdog is considered long for Malaysians, it's not long enough for ... ME.

Don't you just want it to stretch, stretch, stretch LONGER; FOREVER ?
That's right longer = better.
Especially with hotdogs.
In fact, I would like to have this one right here.

Imagine the amount of people you could make happy ! (:
Yes, there would be a long queue awaiting to hug you.

2. Ice cream
I scream, You scream, We ALL scream,
for ice cream.

Goodbye short, stubby ice cream.

Hello, my new love.

And, I mean the ice cream.
FROM JAPAN! I would go all the way there to try that.
Jap peeps are sho' creative.(:

The longer, the higher the ice cream; the more it is, and the more icy creamy goodness we get.

Same goes for if it comes in Thai Style, with a longer bun.

Instead of that puny 3 scoops,
if we had a longer bun...... we can fit 12 scoops. 8D

And if only ice cream could hold on longer, without having to melt in such a short time. :(

3. Longevity noodles.

Symbolizing a long life, this is a popular dish on birthdays and other celebratory occasions.
Apparently, the longer the noodles, the longer your life would be !
So, make sure the noodles you eat are LONG.

To great lengths!

Not forgetting to mention that,
the longer the noodles, the more slurp factor. :P
Every strand can be savored to its utmost long-ness.

4. CUPCAKES

Ok, so I know I've made it clear to the whole solar system that I absolutely ADORE cupcakes (:
This may be an insane idea ;
but how's about cupcakes on a long stick ?

Everyone desires long legs.
Long legs are the most coveted body parts of any woman.
Models have to have long legs. It makes your clothes look good.

With the hemlines rising every year...

Lady Gaga has long legs, so she pulls that off superbly. (:

Patterned tights

With long legs, you get to show more pattern.

Hosiery

Interesting hosiery paired with uber short-shorts makes a stunning combination.

If any old 'plain jane wears shredded tights, their legs would look shredded.
You have to have nice lean slender long legs to pull this off (:

are better longer.

Heels have gone through many stages -
from a mere inch to now, a whooping 12 inch !!!

And the latest gem is by Alexander McQueen.
His armadillo heels have made headlines everywhere ;
And apparently there is a long waiting list for it !!

And I'm sure all of you have seen the video " Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga.
She was wearing his heels. Yes, THOSE heels.

I know it may be crazy , but crazy is good.

Lady Gaga is eccentric and cool., with her long-heeled heels.

Yes, the famed A.M. armadillo booties.
Wearing these will make me taller than both my bro AND my dad. (:

NO MORE SHORT HEELS .

USA TRIP Part 1

Hello all !
Sorry for the constant hiatus-es. You do know it's SPM year !
Anyways. I'll only update on my recent USA trip 2009.
IT WAS whizzbangingly bimboozly awesome (:
I feel so motivated to study hard now
Like, to be able to go USA and pursue my studies there.

I probably have to split this trip to a few different parts;
cause my fam was there for 3 whooping weeks !
Oh . and we went with my Yipoh. ( Grandaunt. ), it was her first time going there...

This post is about the first day.

hehe. ...... Imagine the 1000+ pics I have.
So tune in !!!!

So basically we took a flight on the 4th of Dec, and reached there on 4 of Dec ! Awesome rightzz.
( The flight's about 16 hours btw. )
There was a 4 hour flight from Malaysia to Hong Kong, then 12 hours from HK to SAN FRANCISCO.

Breakfast at Delifrance, KLIA. Rm 5 for a soggy croissant? Standard Fare. -.-

We took the flight from Cathay Pacific.

The planes !

The plane food was super super generous.

Breakfast ! Cheese omelet. (: They gave timtams too, but i took everyone's. MUAHAHA

We were always so stuffed & most of the time we ditched the snacks. haha

And as a tradition, my bro & I tried the In-flight instant noodles LOL
Okay, so it wasn't that great. Pretty Or-di-na-ry.
Just plain blah chicken.

I remembered the EVA AIR ( Taiwan ) one was the best. (:
The fantastic Spicy beef / Seafood.

OH. AND WE GOT THESE LOVELIES.

So awesomely moist fluffy chocolatey muffins. oo

Hong Kong Airport is OMGOMGOMG huge. Massive !

They had a PS3 there. And yes, that IS my bro.

After watching about a long haul flight;
3 movies, 2 eps of Gossipgirl, 3 reality shows and 3 meals later,

San Francisco Airport.

It was so cold there.!
Upon arrival, it wasn't so cold lah. Cause the airport has heater and everything.
But when we stepped outside, there was this SWOOSHY CHILLY COLD AIR that welcomed us !
Gosh, it was fantastic,
.... UNTIL I couldn't feel my ears.

We went to my aunt's house in San Jose, which is about an hour's drive from S. Francisco.
Our first meal there was PHOA ( pronounced as fuurh ) around the neighborhood.
And BTW, San Jose has a HUMONGOUS Vietnamese community there.
Phoa is really popular. And good as well !

My dad and bro were famished. So they ordered LARGE.
BIG mistake.
Because,
OMG they forgotten American Sizing.

Just came back from SF.
Now in the cozy warm home of my aunt's & uncle.
First time witnessing hail ! It's supremely cold there.
San Jose has a more stable weather.. (:

Anyways, i'll update soon.
But not now; without the pictures and all.
My cam has 4GB of space, and theres about 600+ pics in it. Probably gonna run out soon, so I'll have to save those in my bro's laptop.

My uncle, Wei Nee, and I dropped by this fair to check out the cute dogs and all the hype there.
We got some dog food freebies too ! (:
But my uncle did not bring the chow chow along... for the safety of others. haha.

Many adoption centres, pet food vendor, grooming centers, and some pet game stalls ( ! ) were set up here. You could even bring your pets to play the games. :D

It's a cutie Collie. I love collies ! They look so innocent and sweet.
Seeing that usually Collie's are used to round up sheep in barns, they are faithful too.

Frankly, I think gifts matter.
Not in the item itself, but what goes into it.. It kinda reflects how much you appreciate and care for someone; and to put in effort into showing someone that is just wonderful. When I mean gifts; not necessarily am I referring to the whole diamonds-gold-precious-stone-encrusted-ferrari-wrapped-in-silk-and-placed-on-a-monstrous-sized-silver-platter sorta thing... but merely what comes from the heart. Everyone knows materialism is preoccupation with possessions, more than anything else, that prevents men from living freely and nobly. Any so-called material thing that you want is merely a symbol: you want it not for itself, but because it will content your spirit for the moment.
Honestly I love love cards. You know, the homemade scrapbook-y kind made from hours slaving on the table. ( Just for me? awww )
okay sure, you all know I'm kidding. Please, i'm not worth all those efforts. I remembered once a friend of mine gave me something cheap for my birthday.
When I meant cheap, I mean that it is something she gave without much thought into. I splurged on her birthday present; not only did she pick a cheap one, she shared it with my other friend.
I know it's suppose to be the thought that counts, right? But honestly, it just made me feel worthless, like she couldn't be bothered to choose me a decent gift.
She's actually a close friend of mine, I thought she would have known be better. All the trips to the malls, all the advice sharing, ... Yeah, I had expected something more from her. I'm not fussing over the value of the gift. It's just that, hey, you knew me better. With that price you know I would have rathered something else, like - a tub of ice cream. Like I said, you know me. Maybe I take back what has been said about you knowing me; because clearly, that doesn't show. No initiative to make a card either. :'( More of sad that , your thoughtless gesture made me feel like a wasn't worthy of a present, not worthy of your time, not worthy of even a email greeting.
But I've learnt that, from the bible; to truly give is to expect nothing, nothing in return. Constantly being a wholesome friend to others doesn't guarantee I will get the same. Maybe karma happens, but who can rely on it? Getters don't get -- givers get. At least God understands that.
Just feeling abit down from remembering that incident. I kinda want to be cared too, know ?

I feel degraded next to my pretty friends; often the unremembered one. This is what happens when you're shy, so peoples, heed this - learn not to be like me.
The shy cycle thing is vicious, it never ends. Here's how the scenario works - you meet people, but you don't communicate well because you get nervous and avoid awkward moments. The people, on the other hand will just think you're being rude. I mean, how often do people step into the shoes of others before judging? First impression makes a lasting, deep impression ; whether good or bad. If I don't let this go forever will that bitter memory embed in my soul... haunting me everytime it's my birthday. Before you know it, trips to the shrinker will become a routine. Why am I talking about all these? Oh yea, I was conjuring up my birthday wish list. & partly this solemn mood is caused by the death of Daul Kim ; one of the modelling/fash industry's gem. She commited suicide because of being overly stress and pressured by that highly demanding industry, to add more salt to the wound, she has always been depressed and lonely. Rest in peace, Daul. ( p.s : she was the model in the Christopher Kane for TOPSHOP line's advert. ) So, she may be a famous runway model both pretty and smart; but is it confirmed all pretty and smart people are confident?

- Espadrilles

Looking, touching, feeling espadrilles make me drown in my own drool.
Don't know what's espadrilles? Well..
..Espadrilles have been around since at least the 14th century, and they're gaining popularity by the second! That's got to have something to do with them being so cute and classy at the same time. Although they are definitely not formal, theres that lil' quirkiness it gives to an overall summer look. ( Which, in M'sia is perfect. We get "summer" all year round. )

It is basically made of canvas/cotton fabric with soles made of rope or rubber made to look like rope. Usually the wedge is wrapped with jule.

Those cute ones have ones that can be tied up. I got my first one from Roxy.. discounted. I still lovvvee it ! Wore it to Kaki Blue school trip. etc

Sure, it's layers and all... but layers look frumpy and weird if done distastefully.

For the 3 weeks,
I'm only going to be bringing 6 blouses,
2 dresses,
1 formal dress,
5 pair of bottoms,
3 T's for pj's,

and ONE pair of shoes.

.. just my plain pink sneaker-isque keds-like shoes from P&B.
I can imagine how weird it would look with my auntie's classy sand brown trench coat.

because my purple espadrilles are going to give my feet chills there and I can't wear my Olivia's. And flip-flops are out of the question.
I have no other casual shoe ! :(

So first thing is to head to Ross / Marshalls / T.J Maxx / J.C. Penney and get some awesome kicks ( & bang for buck ) sandals.

And so, why am I bringing so little; you ask.

Because 3/4 of the luggage is to make space for incoming stuff ! (((:
I've already gone >5months without shopping; because there is better deals from U.S.
And the stuff there are more uncommon than what we can find here.

I have other things to do.

On a happier note.......
Whee. my birthday is coming.
On the first Wednesday of December.

And on my birthday week's Friday my family is jetsetting to the glamorous USA!

All the way till the new year. aww, gonna miss the fireworks this time round.
I love the place.
Just opening the dusty suitcase brings back the scent of my aunt's house;

During the trip, we're also going to drive down to my cousin's uni UC San Diego.
He is a scholarship student !
Can't believe we're related haha.

And yes i WILL bring my addmaths there. Probably to ask him to teach me as well..
As you all know, A.M is my weakest subject. :(

My family bought all these travel guidebooks on San Francisco sightseeing. We're gonna be staying there for maybe 3 days or so, then spend most of the time at my auntie & uncle's place in San Jose, which is about an hour's drive away.

My aunt's neighbour's dogs. The one of the left is a cutie chow-chow. And on the right..... i'm not sure. But doesn't it look so cute in that furry jacket? (:

Snow crabs are seen everywhere. I remember buying 5 economy sized packs of Willa Wonka from here... quite expensive at $7 each bag ( 7x3.6 = rm25.2 /each )

Love visiting the plant nursery. Tonnes of pretty flowers.

One of my favourite pastimes in San Francisco is to buy bread and feed the pigeons, which are sho' cute . (:

So those are just some highlights of the trip. I regret not taking more pics !
Well actually partly cause we were having such a blast, that we need not bother with pics.

Looking super forward to absorbing the atmosphere, culture and just feelin' it in US.

My brother is happy he gets to have 48hour fest of world of warcraft there, with their incredibly speedy broadband. His shopping money shall go to me. ( ! )

Did I mention there's the sample sales and the ikea sized drugstores there? Muahaha.

Oh, and the Satellite TV?

Theres 3 Disney channels and 3 Nickelodeons and 3 Cartoon Network. Not to forget Style Network, Food Network, Shoppers Stopper, E ! Channel x2.................... etc etc etc.

Not too bothered with the channels there tho, I don't really watch TV.

Apparently the cooking shows there are baaawwwrrringggg. Well, my dad said that.

I had a blast in Penang.
WOO ! it was total hawker food paradise !

Took lotsa pictures. Shall elaborate next time.
Can you believe it; I sprained my ankle so grossly bad about 2 hours after my P. exam ?!
It swelled to a ginormous size ! Like, I couldn't even walk.
Thank goodness I could finally limp on the second day in Penang.
People must think I'm loony walking about the street taking pictures .. with a thickly bandaged ankle. Shots aren't that great pfft.

Anyways I just came back today and took a sweaty stroll with my parents in SS2 Pasar Malam, which I rarely go to.
Suddenly I see so many piles of people selling Crocs !!

They claim its genuine and all, but really, can you trust night market vendors ?
And to think I paid a full price of rm 120 for my red Olivia crocs ... gack !
Now EVERYONE is gonna have "crocs" .
At least mine are authentic, wahaha.

This is an " I " post.

Hey peoples!
I've come to the realization that it has been ages since I've posted on the blog.
Just that so many things have happened it happens to be hard to put in words. Life goes on; people change, & no different am I.
After so many years of feeling rather lost, life took an abrupt twist in the form of 2009 & swung me to my senses. I think I have an idea of how I want my life to turn out.
I've learnt to be thankful & totally optimistic!
And here's a handy tip : If you're unhappy, just pretend to be happy. Eventually you will be happy. It works.

Anyways I think my New Year resolutions are starting to fall into place. (:
I ( think! ) I'm less shy now? I think it sucks that when everyone is having fun & I just ... smile, or stare into a vortex of blankness. Makes me look completely unapproachable! :(

My studies, glad to say, are picking up. Next year is SPM year ; meal ticket year.
The way it seems is that everyone is calling SPM the " Make-or-break your life exam ".
Like it determines the outcome of life.

Well I managed to & Xian Qi is now the awesome editor.
I'm now the Head of Graphics.

We have all been promoted before next year cause the seniors have to go on a hiatus for SPM.
How time flies!
Now my time is being consumed by unending assignments!
But it IS a good excuse as a form of "entertainment" after studying. Graphics! Gonna brush up skills.

This month I've experienced my first time organizing a trip!!!
At first it started out as a mere suggestion floating about during Music Club meetings..
Then it blossomed to a brilliant plan. ... the only thing was... which play/musical?
Well I happened to have went KL PAC that very weekend & saw Kaki Blue.

I've heard good reviews about it from my other school friends and such. So, wtheck right? (:
Through all the chaos, rush and stress of organising everything together ; I'm so glad everything fell into place & the trip went smoothly.
( RIGHT? say right. :D )

Obviously from all these activities, my results for the test sorta skyrocketed down.
Except for some subjects which I'm quite pleasantly surprised at the outcome!
God answered my prayers Woohoo! (:

Errr I have English Literature assignments awaiting. Sigh.

Now I just need balance. I think I can cope with that.

lol I discovered when I have enough sleep, my right eye will have a double eyelid.

Cause the last time I was there was like, 5 years ago, and Charis last went there last year.
It was tough tryin to find where the food outlets were.
Till we saw Wendys! lol. But I'm never one for burgers so..

EHEEEEE.
But I wanted to add on a Wide Angle filter. To do so, I needa buy the adapter.
And it costs.... rm 500.
Note that doesn't even include the filter itself. T_T
So my dad suggested it would be better to save that to -maybe- by a mid-range SLR in the future. Heee. (:

Went on a hyper spree there as well. Bought like 8 tops?
Well, it only adds up to a spiffy blouse from Zara.

Went to Mid-Valley on Saturday, it sorta disappointed me.
The place is pretty run down ( other than posh The Gardens)
The shops, other than the ones found in OU, are like expensive SG. WANG shops.
I rather go shopping in Sg. Wang!
It's kinda wacked seeing people parade round in harjuku inspired dressing
( ..if done properly. If not, it just turns out lala.)

Cause in Sg.Wang, getta bargain,
see SUPER SUPER LOADS of quirky fun unusual( and yet, normal) clothes at bargain prices.

Cause treasure hunting is fun, you see... (:

But quality isn't as great, suppose.
But some are pretty decent.

I know I've totally ditched this blog.

During the past TWO HOURS, I've been going on Facebook.
( Longer than I ever had! )

I feel so lifeless, ish.
And that game the guys in class were talkin bout..

is like totally whacked.

I just started yesterday and my price was like so .. cheap.. =.=
And it's about 450k+ after a day... and people's prices are soaring as high as 200 mil.
I guess that's the result of an abandoned facebook acc.

My eng teacher disagrees about that game.
She says we can't price people.

Which is true..
that game is like sticking price tags on people. :O

I've switched to KRS.

He's in Malaysia now.

I can only go after performing, and it's like.. at 11am.

We were given these angpaus with reminders before the CNY hols lol!

The field was really muddy.
It rained the day before.
Kesian the marchers ( mud-stained pants) ,
runners ( icky slippery run)
and cheerleaders ( had to do jump and tumble on this! ).

The good thing is that, it was nice and cool that day.
No scorching sun.

I was wondering why the microphone was there isolated in the middle of the field.
It looked sad.

Mr. Tay gave a LONNGGG speech about Sportsday that no one paid full attention to.
But he said that he was really happy to see us have all this cool themes and put in muchos effort into deco, marching, cheer etc.

It's awesome how we have all these themes. :D

Together with Phoebe, Lin-Nette, Carina, Choong Yean and Mark.

Apparently the principal wanted more students in 4 D.
More girls actually, cause before we came in there were only 4 girls.

Promise will make it up to you guys.

On my last day in 4 Ang, we played this ridiculous fun game.

This idea came about when me and Nabilah were talking about British movies, eg : Angus, Thongs & Perfect snogging, Wildchild.
Sorta spur-of-the-moment.

The game was to :
TALK IN A BRITISH ACCENT THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE DAY.

As in, to everyone .
Eg. To nasi lemak mak cik:-
" Hey aooountiii, sah-yah nak nah-sey leh-mak."
sorta thing.

And have to be completely honest.

Everyone who loses the accent before school ends have to belanja the last one with the accent THEOROBRAMA CHOCOLATE DRINK.

Peeps included Nab, Fiq, Kah Soon & Su Wee.

Noone, but me lasted 2 periods after recess.
A HA HA.

I won, so now they own me a theorobrama chocolate lounge drink EACH.

As for the first day of being in 4 Daisi..
Teachers are pretty much the same, some better.
One thing got me thinking that day tho.

They were having English PLBS that very day.

And Samuel was presenting something about Time Quadrants.
I can't specifically remember everything.. but it pretty much goes like this.

There are many dif peeps that handle time differently, with different piorities.
Either urgent, important, or both.

Like say, I want to go shopping NOW because I want a pair of platform suede booties I saw in ZARA that's SO IN right now.
It's urgent to me, but I would not go as far as to say it's IMPORTANT.

There's prioritizers
Do things well, on time and the way it should always be. But too much can be, well,
... lifeless.

And there's procrastinators.
Well, me.
For people who do not know what it means :-
Procrastinators are people who just... do things to the very last minute.
Mostly, lazy.

And slackers.
Who really care about entertaining one's self/ Wasting time.
So is alotta people, AND me. :O

At the end, he asked us to think about which category we're in and which do we WANT to be in.

I guess that really got me thinking.

Do I really want to be a procrastinator ALL MY LIFE?

Lazy me.

If I occupy myself with activities, there's really nothing to procrastinate.

I'm still getting used to not having that sleep-late-wake-up-late routine.

I think I'm getting eyebags pffft.

SO.. Many 2008 form 4's have been telling me how tought pure science will be.. bla bla etc etc.
I don't think it's really hitting me in the face yet, but yea.. Addmaths was pretty confusing in the start.

I'm feeling pretty beat today. Slept late last night.
And there was Mesyuarat Agung as well as Editorial Board meeting.
Prolly joining Graphics Department.. cause apparently they're short of people who knows how to photoshop. Xian Qi's in charge!
She makes the most awesomest graphics, ever.
But actually I thought it would be cool to join advertorial department.. where I can put my convincing (big companies) skills into good use! AHA.

At Hartamas Shopping Centre.

I think this time it was really good, they updated the usual pile of below-rm 30-and-discover-new-titles category. Instead of like the lousy MPH warehouse sale which only had mostly the usual books found in book stores for like a mere rm 3 difference.

Usual bestsellers were sold 30 % off!

I finally got a copy of Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern.
Same with The Silmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien. And got a big bunch of books that caught my eye.
Books that I bought include:-
Chick-lits, daily grace, fantasy, as well as A MAGAZINE ABOUT CATS LOL.

I wanted the the Tales of Beedle the bard by J.K rowling.
But it was only released last month, so I doubt they would actually want to sell it off discounted.
Twilight series was, out of question, not sold there.
The sales lady said even their warehouse didn't have any stock for the bookstores.

What a huge fan base Stephanie Meyer has.

Sometimes you can get a really good read for under rm 12, and such.
I got a mint condition GossipGirl novel for a mere rm 8. What a steal heehee.

The only downer was that there weren't the usual spread of from-rm 17.90-to-rm5 spread of Australia's GIRLFRIEND magazines!

Maybe this is a sign that I'm having too many magazines?
When I weight all of them, I think the wieght of my magazines added up to over 150 kg.

Everything associated with it always seem to be like this ;

New beginnings.

Somehow, what has passed is often perceived as bad or as something to forget.

MY CLASS STARTED OF WITH 25 PEOPLE.
It's was like;
Eyy! So awesome. We get more attention. Less Chaos. More seats. Less trash. Less B.O after P.J.! :DDD

The back of the class is SO EMPTY!
There was like this vast space at the back which we all could just chill / play all-our-shoelaces-tied-together race.

The teachers that came in looked like they were about to pass out when they saw them both sitting together.

Somebody graffitised on my class wall with a terrible knock-off of Bubbles the powerpuff girls ( Def one of the guys.) and T and D brought in the mirror from the corridor into our class.

And me and Nabilah will be admiring ourselves in the mirror when our brains become mush from Chemistry.
Often with Fizah catching us.
And Emily rofl.

Coca-Cola says Malaysia boycott will hurt economy

Coca-Cola spoke out Friday against a boycott of its drinks and other US goods called by Malaysian Muslim groups over the Gaza offensive, saying it would only hurt the local economy and citizens.

"As everybody else, we are deeply touched by the human side of the situation in the Middle East," Kadri Taib, Coca-Cola Malaysia public affairs and communications director, said in a statement.

"Given the local nature of our business, we believe that calls for boycotts of our products are not the appropriate way to further any causes, as they primarily hurt the local economy, local businesses and local citizens."

It said the beverage company employs some 1,700 Malaysians, 60 percent of whom are Malay Muslims, who dominate the multicultural nation's population.

A boycott of US-made goods and firms including Coca-Cola and Starbucks has been called by Muslim groups who are planning a protest Friday at the National Mosque in the capital Kuala Lumpur.

The boycott, aimed at US support of Israel which has mounted the offensive in Gaza, is spearheaded by the Malaysian Islamic Consumers Association as well as the Muslim Restaurant Operators Association which has removed Coca-Cola from the menu at thousands of eateries.

"We hope the Muslim consumers will fully take part so it will send a clear signal to Israel and its allies not to continue to torture Muslims," the Consumers Association said in a statement.

Former Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad has also called for a global boycott of the US dollar and US products in protest over Washington's support of Israel.
